Glenbow Museum

The Glenbow Museum, located in Calgary Alberta, has been a cultural landmark in Calgary for 53 years, educating, inspiring, and connecting the local community through contemporary, modern, and historical art. The Glenbow Revitalization Capital Project (GRCP) aimed to actualize Glenbow’s vision of transforming the museum into 312,000 square feet space that builds community, creates shared experiences, preserves collective memory, and stimulates economic vibrancy.

In 2021 the Glenbow Museum underwent a revitalization process. To support the GRCP vision, M3 Development Management Ltd. (M3) on behalf of the Glenbow, engaged the AES Technology team to provide a transformative IT and Audio-Visual design in the creation of an enriching experience that will be educational, inspiring, authentic, innovative, and memorable.

For this project, AES Technology design services included Information Technology, including wireless and Audio-Visual systems. During design development, AES collaborated with GRCP, M3, and other contractors and consultants to establish all the organizational needs and design requirements. Once the current state was established and understood, AES Technology shifted our focus into identifying the new expansion IT and Audio-Visual infrastructure requirements. Detailed drawing packages during the design development phase were created for formal review and stakeholder sign-off following the Glenbow’s standards.
